“Coin of Excellence” Winners Thrive At Wireless Communications

Verizon’s Georgia/Alabama Region has once again recognized the commitment that Wireless Communications has made to provide an untouchable customer experience. The Georgia/Alabama Region awards the “Coin of Excellence” to associates and managers that excel in providing first-class customer service and positive feedback via customer surveys. In the month of May two Wireless Communications employees were recipients of this distinguished award.
Shawn Cox started with Wireless Communications in October if 2011 and is currently an associate at the Crabapple store in Alpharetta, Georgia. Right away Shawn began to excel in customer service, he is often awarded “Perfect 10″ Net Promoter Scores by past customers. Shawn was awarded a VZW “Coin of Excellence”, a personal email from the VZW Channel Director, a certificate signed by the Region President and Channel Director and recognition in the monthly Indirect newsletter and the VZW homepage.
Melanie Smith was hired into our Manager In Training Program in March of 2012 and right away she began to take action at her Holly Springs, Georgia location. Melanie is the portrait of community involvement; she is actively involved in the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce and helps raise money, food and awareness for local charitable organizations. She was awarded the coin of excellence for her very successful Grand Opening Celebration on May 11th. Through connecting with the community and local businesses Melanie was able to maximize all her resources to pull off one of the most successful Grand Opening Events in Wireless Communications history. This caught the eye of Verizon Corporate Leadership and a few weeks later she was also recognized and awarded the “Coin of Excellence”.
